Filling The Green
Card
The next process is
the filing of the Green Card. The time from which the nurses’ papers
are filled to the time the nurse gets the final interview date, we
estimate should take anywhere from 8-12 months.
Step 8
The nurse completes the ETA9089 application and PPR files for the
I-140 petition with USCIS. This Employment base petition for an
alien worker in the skilled category is filed through one of the
several Service Centers in the US. The nurse then awaits an approval
of the employment petition.
Step 9
After approval, the entire case is transferred to the NVC (National
Visa Center). PPRs’ team of top attorneys and visa specialist file
for the Green Card. The nurse pays US$ 00.00* towards the fee and
US$ 380 for each dependent in their family. The DS230 forms are
completed by the nurse and sent to PPR.
*Paid by PPR on behalf of the nurse
Step 10
In the mean while, the nurse is put though a comprehensive
Transition Program from PPR. After the nurses’ case is NVC complete,
the case is transferred to the US Consulate in India. The nurse
receives the Packet 4 from the consulate and a set of instructions
on the documents needed for the Exit Interview. Once the Green Card
is approved, the nurse is assisted to complete all formalities and
is made ready to travel to join the hospitals in the US.
